About Kawartha Village

Housing co-operatives are governed by the Co-operative Corporations Act, with members who live in the co-op actively shaping the policies and by-laws that guide the community. Our by-laws are governed by CHF Canada whereas our Policies are developed through the KVC membership. 

The policies included here have been developed and approved by our members. Any proposed changes will be brought forward for discussion and a vote at a general members’ meeting.

One of the greatest benefits of living in a co-op is the ability to influence how things are run. If you think a rule needs improvement, you have the right to propose a change—and together with your fellow members, you can decide if it’s the right direction for the community.
